What did you think about episodes 5 and 6?

I don’t even know where to begin!

  1. Jeanine says:

Here’s my top 5 Most Awesome of last night.

    1. Faith kidnaps Wesley. Again.
    2. Enver as Topher2. Wow! Where has this man been my whole tv-watching life?
    3. Bennet/Topher. You knew the match could never happen, but it was a fun ride! And whoever chose to have Summer wear that little hair clip? Genius.
    4. Kilo. :)
    5. Sen Perrin?! PERRIN?!? Are you trying to kill me, Dollhouse!

  2. Kim says:

The only thing I can think to say right now is that Enver Gjokaj is SO TALENTED.

Otherwise I’m still trying to process the awesomeness of last night’s episodes.

  3. Osiristi says:

    Hades. Aphrodite. Athena.

  4. scratchybottoms says:

show was awesome. they should have been running this in half season two hour mini episodes all along. way more intriguing and crazy than ever.

  5. Exlonox says:

The show’s best two-episode run since Omega/Epitaph One

  6. laura says:

    another outstanding episodes!!!

enver as tropher – so funny and such a talented actor.

it’s much better watching them back to back, it keeps the pace up and just makes want more. – roll on friday!

  7. MNJim says:

I’m 43 years old and all I could say at every commercial break was OhMyGod!

  8. nick says:

LOOOOVVVEED IT….although the music was HORRIBLE but the show itself was amazing!

  9. Phoenix says:

Holy hell! That sort of left me clinging, screaming “Where did this come from?” I didn’t expect any of the twists this one threw out there. I’m very interested in seeing if Caroline isn’t actually the too-good-to-be-true girl that she’s always been portrayed as, thanks to Halverson (good god, Summer Glau!).
Much as I love Eliza Dushku, seeing Enver Gjokaj as Topher last night and thinking of him as Dominic last season left me wishing he’d been the main character, because that man can *act* with an eerie precision. I can’t wait for next week! And now it’s finally snowing outside. All in all, this has been a good weekend for me.

  10. Geena says:

Is Miracle Laurie in any more episodes?

  11. pccombs says:

Now THAT’s Joss Whedon!! The best episode of this entire series. Loved it!

  12. korkster says:

The two twists that had my jaw dropping to the floor:

    1) Senator Perrin was _____ ! WHA!!
    2) Bennet & Caroline were friends?? Ack!

    My giggle fest:

    1) Bennet & Topher flirting! Nerd mating is so weird to see in its natural environment. ;)
    2) Topher talking to Topher about Bennet. “Wish I could have been there.” But you are! LOL

    My WHOA moments:

    1) Perrin cutting out the GPS in Echo. That was whoa.
    2) Perrin turning Terminator on Echo.
    3) Madeline coming forward as a doll.
    4) Madeline being re-dolled. NOOO! And under Bennet to! Poor Madeline. :(

  13. Rpgdancer says:

AMAZING!!!!!! the twitterers were tweeting and it was a non-stop two hour rollercoaster of awesomeness! my favorite part: Topher and “Topher”!!!!!!!!!!!!

hopefully it will grow in popularity and will begin to show Fox how wrong they were to cancel it… or will get another network to pick it up!

  14. wrdo says:

My jaw was hung for a full 10 minutes. I have wanted Enver to play Topher for such a long time, but I never thought it would happen. Now I can die reasonably happy. :)

I’m interested to see how the Bennett/Perrin storyline will work out. (especially since Perrin’s existence makes a LOT of things in Epitaph 1 make sense). I wonder if Bennett will get killed off by the end of the season?

cannot wait until next friday. Alan Tudyk. in that suit. Win. Anyone who can be creepy in that suit is my new best friend.

  15. Differentially-Permeable Membrane says:

Best episodes of the series so far and the best I’ve seen on any TV show in the last year. It seems like we are seeing the show hit its stride, and of course it’s being canceled. Hopefully they will maintain this surge of quality until the series closes. Enver Gjokaj’s Topher was genius.

  16. Mary says:

haha i’d start with insanity!! SO can’t wait for two more new eps. next Fri =)

  17. Topher!Victor was just amazing. Enver’s ability to imitate was great when he was portraying an imprinted Dominic, but seeing him be Topher was just…damn… We really got to see what this guy is capable of as a character actor last night. But poor Topher. He’s so cute when he has a crush! Why did it have to be on the crazy girl? D:

But points on Summer Glau for being the creepiest psycho genius ever. I was worried we were going to get a River Tam reprise and we didn’t. Bennett was all crazy, all scary and drew very little sympathy for it. And I will continue to profess my love for Adelle DeWitt for as long as I love this show, meaning forever. Ever the chessmaster, that woman! I want to be her when I grow up.

Alpha! In a suit! A very snazzy suit. Next week is going to be fun. But what’s going to happen with Madeline/November/Mellie? DD:

  18. Meshakhad says:

    Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Best moment had to be Adelle holding Ray Wise by the balls. Also, Enver Gjokaj is an absolutely brilliant actor. Perhaps he could get a role on Joss’s next production?

  19. B says:

I have many questions. One of them is, why does fox keep giving me reasons to be terrified of Summer Glau? First she’s a nice crazy girl that shoots people and goes ax crazy with great proficiency. Then she adds to my fear of terminators because it turns out they can be small women. Now we’re making it with revengeful cripple who is some kind of mental. My second question is did Summer Glau teach what’s his face to act terminator? I could see that being some hilarious stage antics.

I am getting the feeling that all actors from the intelligent shows are banding together. Seems they be having a big meet up at Dollhouse. What’s up guys? Planning something?

  20. Maarthy says:

I’ve enjoyed the episodes. Senator was a great twist and Topher no.2 made me laugh. Enver is so talented! :-)

But, I still miss our beloved scared Amy Acker, I hope she’ll return soon! :-)

  21. Chris Roberts says:

Amy returns for episodes 11,and 12 In
January. She and Summer return In the same
    episode.My three favorate Joss Whedon
actresses In 1 episode(Summer and Amy with of course Eliza)

  22. ChrisMN says:

This is exactly what we always had faith this show could be. I’ve loved Dollhouse throughout its run, but it’s never given me quite the chills that come with truly great TV. These two episodes did. This was on par with the best of what Joss has done (and he’s done it so many times before). It’s a true shame that Fox is dropping Dollhouse just as it’s hitting its stride. Let’s hope it can live on somewhere else.

  23. Jim Henry says:

It was funny and creepy to watch how Topher and Bennett were totally smitten with one another and yet they kept conspiring against each other anyway.

Watching the D.C. and L.A. Dollhouses working at cross-purposes, and Bennett pursuing her own private vendetta against Caroline against her employer’s interest… that’s some intrigue right there. She apparently didn’t get caught at it by her superiors in the D.C. Dollhouse, only by Topher, who has no reason to tell the D.C. admin or Rossum higher-ups about it; so I strongly suspect she’s planning to use November to further this vendetta, maybe layering in a sleeper implant that will go after Caroline/Echo whenever possible. Early in episode 6 she talked about how she thought it was possible to give an active multiple imprints; then at the end she’s telling November “No one should be alone”. I suspect those two lines are connected.

  24. bobby says:

i loved this ep alot, it kinda did answer one question i had (*u were right gossi ;) so far) telling us how the dollhouse passed some laws getting things legal. I was floored by perrin, and Cindy. I loved how the Dc house used gods and goddesses as the name of their dolls. It makes me think about other places. Imagine a Thor doll lol or imagine what the dollhouse in Japan named theirs lol good stuff. And to all who are Echo-haters, tell me not it was cool how she went after Cindy with my fav line, “You just woke up alot of people and they all think you’re a bitch…” HA HA HA

  25. James17930 says:

Are you guys all joking? I can’t really believe what I’m reading in the comments here.

‘Public Eye’ was awful. There’s no other word to describe it. The pacing, dialogue and acting were so wooden there should have been termites crawling out of my computer, and Perrin being the Doll was so obvious I called it as soon as they tried to make his wife look like the Doll. The only good thing about this episode were the last few minutes with Bennet.

‘Left Hand,’ though, was a major improvement. Yes — Victor as Topher as spectacular, Topher and Bennet together were great, and Adele kicked some ass too. But — overall, it still wasn’t a great episode. Nothing really happened, if you think about it. Rossum won. So? It was all sort of pointless, and they could have found a much better way to ’send Echo out into the world.’

  26. Hector says:

OMG! Smart, action packed thrill ride that just leaves you wanting more. I will be rewatching these until Friday!

  27. Sonny Bellamy says:

I LOVE THIS SHOW TO DEATH!!! To me, the show has a great storyline, the characters fit their characters in the show, and there is really nothing wrong with it. The show shows action, love, slickness,so then what is the problem?not enough viewers? To me,as long as people are watching it,that still means people still like the show. All I ask is please,PLEASE don’t take this off the air.It is mainly the only show I watch.I enjoy every minute of the show, and the show is getting better every new episode they make. If not on FOX,can you try and put it on SciFi because it seems like a SciFi kind of show.Just dont cut it.

  28. DeezyG says:

Sonny, SciFi says the budgets too high :P

  29. DeezyG says:

That was a sad face, I screwed up

  30. dollhouse says:

    =/
i just dont get why they didnt write these kinda storylines in the first season!
part of me wishes the last 6/7 episodes of season one should have been how the show started! maybe then more people would have stuck with the show.

SEASON 2 IS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!!

i cant believe how its gonna all end soon =(

this is like the MAIN show i watch tv for?

sucks! i love heroes too, and thats about to die! and smallville! and supernatural is in its final season!!!…i watch too much tv lol

  31. XENOPHOBE says:

I cant believe that post that said the first ep was awful…Are you kidding me??? I loved it, the characters were not wooden or anything. Everything clicked. The second ep just shows us how really cool the show can really b. How do u catch a killer when they can jump to different bodies?? I felt bad for Perrin, he obviously felt he was doin the right thing, but when he came back and he threw Madeline in front of the bus…i felt awful for her. She took a gamble, they sought her out not vice versa. I wonder how Echo is going to survive in the world at large and how come she meets up with Paul? And another thing, Where the hell is Sierra??

  32. “You just woke up a lot of people, and all of them think you’re a bitch!”

Victor engaging as Topher was awesome, too. And so was watching the still very present chemistry between Ballard and Mellie/Madeline.

Bennett and Topher? Awesome. I so wish it could have been more.

  33. Max says:

I liked the episodes. I agree that have back-to-back episodes works well. This is slightly off topic, but, I heard a fraction of the closing “sound effect” used on another show. It got me thinking… is there any way to obtain the score to Dollhouse?

  34. Jon Eng says:

To be honest, I thought the first season was only OK. This season, however, is phenomenal! I wonder if things would have been different if it had started out this strong.

Summer Glau is so good. :)

  35. Jean D says:

Well, if Summer Glau wished to play some regular (stable?) character, she can continue wishing. She seemed sooooo crazy, I first thought Alpha had downloaded himself into this sweet child. I’m still not convinced he hasn’t.

  36. Jana says:

ok, I’m watching ep. 7 & 8 and THIS IS TOO CRUEL!!!! this show keeps getting more and more amazing, it’s only going to make me miss it MORE when it’s gone :’( Damn you FOX!

  37. Hudson says:

Fox can eat my ass and die, it’s so unfair to cancel the show! It is hands down the smartest coolest and best written show on tv!

    • Doug says:

I have a friend who argues with me that Topher’s voice was dubbed and that’s not enver’s voice doing Topher. It drives me nuts and I want to prove him wrong.
