Review Dollhouse Episodes 9 and 10

How’s it going for you, people?

I’m going to go out on a limb and say – for me – this season is incredible.  It’s putting last season to shame.  And overall I liked last season.

Particular hat tips to Eliza, Dichen, Enver, Olivia, Andrew, Maurissa and Jed.  In no order as they were all on fire.  Except without the actual flames, that would be bad.

  1. Exlonox says:

These were very dark until Adelle was redeemed. Now, I’m looking forward to a happy ending. Overall, they were entertaining, but all over the place.

    • Gail says:

OMG(goodness) this show is amazing! I taped every episode so I can skip through the commercials just to see what’s next. “The Attic” was great! Where do they come up with this??? The whole cast is great. Season 1 was wonderful and now season 2 is even better. What’s next?…….

    • Sarah says:

no one has mentioned about Paul becoming an imprint of himself? How sad….he’s no longer really Paul then, is he?? He looks like himself, acts like himself, but isn’t really himself.

Since Paul had some things taken away from him….will Alpha have an advantage?? Alpha has ALL of Paul’s memories and personality.

Something about this reminds me of Epitaph One, when we are told that Alpha is running the base where all the nonimprinted people are….is this Alpha really Paul in the end? I think Alpha having Paul’s imprint placed in him will change him to be more like Echo. I don’t think Paul in his original form will make it in the end, but in Alpha he will live on.

  2. DarthGymRat says:

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised that Adelle is still good. I wonder if these episodes are getting good ratings? Wouldn’t that be a hoot! Can’t wait for Epitaph Two!

    • Sarah says:

I wonder how November is going to come into play for the final episodes….she was under Bennett’s control….bet she is killed off by Paul!

  3. Joe Enos says:

Excellent episodes. I think they did The Matrix better than The Matrix did.

  4. MarQ says:

This was Enver’s episodes – and a great build to the end. I think we all know who the Clyde 2.0 is and the pieces are falling into place. I am interested in where Alpha will fall in all of this.

  5. Phoenix says:

This is conspiracy of the highest order! I’m terrified to see what Topher took from Paul, because I’m suspicious as to what it was and how pissed I’m about to be. This season has been so full of twists and turns that now that the full extent of the Rossum conspiracy has been revealed — we assume — I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done this masterfully; the only thing that ever came close was “Alias,” and even that wasn’t as tightly written as these last six episodes.
It’s hard (and tragic) to think that there are now only three episodes left to the end, but I’ve got a feeling that “Dollhouse” is going to go out packing a walloping gut punch to my expectations–which are already pretty astronomical.

    • Tara says:

I figure Topher took away Paul’s love for Echo. That is my call. Dated and stamped!

      • Tom says:

I will be so peeved off if that’s the case. Taking away Paul’s love for Echo – when we never really got to see anything solidly develop – would really make me not want to watch the rest, as it would just be a huge slap in the face.

  6. Aaron says:

Loving this show now. Episode 10 will probably be the high point for me looking back on the show. Here’s hoping the finale tops it! Either way, glad my wife and I stuck with this show through that often tough to watch first season.

Am I the only one that sort of likes that this is going to be concise enough to come back to and watch again someday? If this was drawn out for another few years I doubt it would have been as intense or powerful.

  7. wrdo says:

it’s great to finally know what Victor’s real name is!!

And “The Attic” freaked the hell out of me! this was such a great night of episodes!!

anyone else think that Clive Ambrose is Clyde 2.0?

    • shadine says:

to obvious ,… i’m waiting for a big surprise on that one …
maybe someone the audience trusts ..

  8. Dave says:

What was it… mid way into filming the season they knew they were getting canceled? That was probably the best news for the writers (story wise, not being out of a job…) because they are absolutely firing on all cylinders w/ character development and pure plot moving episodes. It’s the perfect “TV series” without filler, because they were told in advance about the definitive end, sadly. Can’t wait for the last 3!

    • gossi says:

Yah know, they always planned to go in this direction. There’s a video on this very website with Joss where he talks about going to The Attic for a very specific reason, which was shot back in July (I was there). They returned to air end of September.

  9. Mary G says:

I want to hear that long story.

  10. kim says:

    Wow wow wow

    OMG awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hyperion Hotel mention! HEEHEE
ooo, look at Echo chew out Adele.
    Uh-oh, Victor captured. He fought well…just out-numbered.
    Hive mind! Seriously scary.
Adele’s not doing so well these days….medicating her ills with alcohol.
    Echo’s a bad-ass.
    Hmmm, summoned Pria/Sierra for Victor/Anthony.
Anthony, don’t hurt her! Remember you love her, dang it.
    Adele’s trying to sober up.
    Victor/Anthony got control back.
Echo joined the hive and changed their commands. She’s a force of nature.
OMG, Echo, Victor, and Sierra to the ATTIC???!!!!

The Attic is your worst nightmare…….constant fear and adrenalin.
Hmm, Boyd says he has a home life.
Echo came up into the Dollhouse, with snow?
Whoa, Dominic…..chasing a guy called Arcane through all the minds….he saved Echo. The Attic minds are linked, so Echo can find the others if she can just get there.
Topher’s trying to re-activate Paul, if there’s enough brain left.
    Adele threatens Topher and Langton.
Sierra’s worst nightmare is about the guy she killed in defense.
    Victor fights himself in Afghanistan.
The group attacks Arcane…..learns he’s Clyde, and sees the shape of things to come – the apocalypse, pretty much.
Clyde was an original founder of Rossum. His friend replaced him with Clyde 2.0 and they put him in the Attic – the first human computer. 97% of his scenarios lead to the end of civ. Caroline is said to have seen Clyde 2.0…..it makes her dangerous.
Echo says she knows how to get out….after she’s hurt.
Ballard’s awake. Takes a moment for his brain to adjust. He takes Boyd’s gun and confronts Adele, who’s ready with her own.
Echo says she can get out once she dies….Pria and Tony won’t let her go alone. It works for her. Tony stabs Pria, then backs into the street to be killed.
Echo says “Your plan worked” – to Adele!! Are Tony and Pria alive?
Yes! In the office with the group. They have secrets to fight back with now. Adele’s assembled her team of Boyd, Ballard, Ivy, Topher, Echo, Pria, and Tony.
Echo says there’s one soldier left – she needs to meet Caroline. It’s time to fight her war.

Jan 8th, back to 9pm, for the last 3 eps. OMG, that preview for what’s coming is insane!!!

    • Jenni says:

“Echo says there’s one soldier left – she needs to meet Caroline. It’s time to fight her war.”

      What about Mellie?

  11. Mike Harris says:

    Oh, dear God.

This is just conjecture, but it might actually be Whedon’s endgame, so don’t read any further if you’re willing to let a fantheory be construed as a spoiler.

But after tonight, here’s the theory:

“Epitaph One” wasn’t in the future, it was IN THE ATTIC. (Perhaps in Clyde’s scenario, somehow.)

  12. B says:

I cannot describe these episodes because everything would be an understatement. Looks like the board is set and the game has begun.

  13. Madman007 says:

Mike Harris said “Epitaph One” wasn’t in the future, it was IN THE ATTIC. (Perhaps in Clyde’s scenario, somehow.)

Hmmm. You might just have something there, Mike. Something to keep in mind for January. The Attic was a bit like the Buffy episode, Restless. Nobody does dream sequences like Joss and Co.
I’m not sure Clive Ambrose is Clyde 2.0. The original Clyde said that Caroline saw the 2.0 version but when would she have seen Clive? I think Clive was Clyde’s original partner who betrayed him and we haven’t seen Clyde 2.0 yet. Or have we?
And wouldn’t you know it, this show has just now shown what it could really be only to be taken away. Thanks for keeping with this show and marketing it so well, FOX. (sarcasm ensues!)
I will definitely look forward to the last three as well as keeping room on my DVD shelf for Dollhouse Season Two.

  14. Osiris says:

What a mind-wiping pair of episodes *_* You know, in a good way. Awesome way.

  15. DS says:

Does anyone know how I can find out the music in the episode “ATTIC”?

  16. Jean D says:

Whoa, this gets indeed better and better as we near the end of it.

Should we be glad or sad? It’s funny, because I stumbled upon Jean-Francois Lisee’s blog just yesterday and found out that this very serious sounding guy (hey, director of the Center for Studies in International Relation at the University of Montreal and political advisor to two Prime Ministers in Quebec) is also a Sci-Fi fan on the side. While he didn’t mention Dollhouse in his blog entry, he did came to a conclusion with other series that the worst that can happen to a sci-fi serie is to go on for too long and have no planned ending right from the start. This way, he says, the writers end up only diluting the sauce over time and rarely come up with something new.

I tend to agree now with him as Dollhouse has only got better, let’s say it, genious, since the writers know it’s gonna end. Maybe less people would feel sorry also if they knew from the start their favorite series are signed for a definite numbers of years (say, three years could be optimal IMO) right from the start and won’t be cancelled along the way: that wouldn’t be only a contract with the writers and producers, but with the audience too. After this term, nobody would be surprised, upset or whatever and networks have plenty of time to figure out what will come up next. My personal opinion over Jeff’s one is also that these numerous series getting cancelled mid-season may be so because they were just bought on the fly and in a rush to fill up the slot of the previous cancellations. This ends up in a vicious circle in the end. Hoping Fox reads here: Guys, from now on, plan your shows and show as you planned!

Maybe I’m only dreaming. And did I fall asleep? :)

  17. Al says:

Could Clyde 2.0 it be either Sam (Mehcad Brooks) or Leo (Josh Cooke) in the episode Echoes. I’m leaning more to Leo the boyfriend. What are your thoughts people?

    • shadine says:

verry possible i dont think it will be an stranger but echos boyfriend actually drew her attention to the human projects at rossum……. so that would be weird .

  18. DW says:

Wait, nobody thinks Adelle is Clyde 2.0?

  19. DW says:

…and I think the combination of the drama, emotion, fast-paced storytelling and brilliant themes and ideas has just catapulted Dollhouse into my top sci-fi show ever, even ahead of Lost. Seriously. It really goes to show every TV show is better for a defined end date so they can plot it accordingly.

Also, the epitaph-attic scenario is totally believable, it also occurred to me as I was watching.

    • Dollhouse is probably the reason I’m now keenly interested in watching other sci-fi shows, like Caprica and maybe renting Battlestar Galactica to watch, actually… I’d watch the occasional sci-fi-esque movie (Existenz comes immediately to mind) but shows like BSG and Farscape I just kind of passed up.

As a writer, too, I’m a little interested in exploring it. Dollhouse pretty much shows you don’t need a spaceship, other planets, and aliens to do sci-fi well, which is a nice message to someone who likes watching them on screen than writing about them!

      • Phoenix says:

“Battlestar Galactica” I’d highly recommend, because it’s the same as “Dollhouse” in a certain regard. I think the reason that I got so caught up in “Dollhouse” is that it’s television that actually makes you *think* about what you just watched, perhaps wrestle with the moral/philosophical questions that it raises, which makes it more fascinating.
While “Battlestar” does have plenty of space opera to it, it’s also a really fascinating exploration of the limits of humanity and also religious/political issues got raised quite frequently; I’m very interested in “Caprica” — too bad its series premiere is on the night the “Dollhouse” series finale airs, because “Dollhouse” is going to win my viewership hands down.

        • It’s a good thing SyFy (a renaming which still weird me out) airs its episodes online, then, no? At least I think it does. I know it has the pilot of “Caprica” online, as I’ve been meaning to get around to see that…

I’ll have to try and find a friend who has the DVDs. Those box sets can get pretty pricey…

  20. Ty C says:

@DW: I was totally thinking Adelle might be Clyde 2.0, especially how Adelle is betraying Rossum, like how Clyde mentioned Clyde 2.0 being order to betray.

But I’m also thinking when Echo meets Caroline, we might be able to see a little more about Bennett’s story and how Caroline abandoned her.

  21. knitcrit says:

I thought Topher was Clyde 2.0. Brilliant but ambitionless – isn’t that a good description of Topher? Did I miss something that would make it impossible for Topher to be Clyde 2.0?

I have been watching the series all along, but not carefully because on the whole I have found the show pretty weak. That said, this was the only (pair of) episode(s) that truly impressed me and made me want to keep watching.

    • shadine says:

good thought especially because it would explain epitaph one even further as in tophers bad concience.
anybody consider Boyd … because it would be so heart breaking

  22. lolo says:

I’m pretty sure that Bennet is Clyde 2.0

  23. MarkZ says:

Adelle goes from jilted, to drunk, to villain, to leader of the final showdown!

Love Olivia. What a wide range of acting on one night.

  24. L says:

for me – this season is incredible. It’s putting last season to shame. And overall I liked last season. – i couldn’t agree more with this statement!!!

apart from the 1st two episodess this series, the rest have all been award worthy. the acting from all is amazing and the amount of twist and turns alot of them i didn’t see.

have to also agree about the epitaph-attic scenario i thought about this the other week after re-watching. after it was shown joss said it might not be the future they might be able to change it…so who knows either way i can’t wait till the next episodes.

also fav character of all the series – adelle
fav actor – can’t really pick love all but olivia & enver really stand out.

  25. Tony says:

Clyde 2.0 cant be Adelle as Topher tried the doll reset device on her and it didn’t get a response. Did Topher get exposed to that? Cant remember.

    • wrdo says:

you mean the disruptor? well, I think all of the main cast got exposed to that and came out ok (except the ones we know are dolls)

  26. Al says:

Its a good point raised about how Topher since he’s ambitionless, but if he was a Doll he wouldn’t have had that reaction with Adelle with that drug in Echoes yeah?
Bennett may very well be Clyde 2.0, with that dream sequence of hers trapped under the rock, and Caroline walking away from her, maybe Bennett was Clyde 2.0 and Caroline tried to stop her.

  27. DW says:

Yes, ok, you convinced me that it was Topher before unconvincing me by reminding me that neither Adelle nor Topher is a doll. Can’t be Bennett either, since she’s not a doll either…. Unless they find a way to explain away one of the exceptions.

  28. I’ll admit, my mind initially went to the gutter with “What did they take away from Paul Ballard?” thing. And is still kind of there.

BUT ADELLE. o_o;; I’ve said it before, but I want to be her when I grow up. XD Seriously, what a chessmaster! I did wonder for a moment if she was Clyde 2.0, but if she was, then why would she be trying to bring down Rossum as it appears to be the case? My friend and I considered Topher… We also briefly considered Dr. Saunders, emphasis on briefly.

And hey, as a girl with active hormones: All that half-naked Enver was not bad at all! I would have liked to see more of his backstory explored a bit, though, like we got to see with Priya and even with Caroline. It felt like the whole soldier thing was just a means of explaining why Rossum would then kidnap Vi–I mean Anthony after “releasing” him from his contract. If only this show wasn’t ending in January! DD:

Question: Do you think Dark Horse, which (if I’m not mistaken) runs Buffy and Angel comics, will want to pick up and continue Dollhouse through comics? This has been at the back of my brain for a couple days now. I know I’d be down for a monthly issue of brain-melty insanity. I’ve already been primed by my love for The Umbrella Academy!

    • Phoenix says:

That one’s a confusing one. At first, Whedon responded to the “Dollhouse” comic question by saying that he “didn’t see how it could be done as a comic.” Then, some months later, he said that he “now saw how it could possibly be done that way.” However, apparently caught up in some residual cancellation bitterness, he has since said that “Dollhouse” will end when the series finale airs. I think that if he *does* come back to “Dollhouse” in any respect, it’ll take some time. He’s currently in the works to turn the “Buffy” season eight comics into online webisodes, so there’s always hope, IMHO.
Personally, I’ll be writing “Dollhouse” fanfic for years to come, I’m sure…;)

      • A) Buffy webisodes would be pretty sweet.
        B) I really hope he reconsiders and allows the door to be opened for Dollhouse to continue as a comic. I don’t really write/read fanfic like I used to, but I adore comic books and I adore the Dollhouse storyline. It would be an instant win to see how they handle or continue in the aftermath of attempting to bring down Rossum and whatnot. There’s a lot to look at in terms of how they handle their lives post-Doll, and how their relationships with each other develop.

And Dr. Saunders/Whiskey! I’m still so intrigued about her and who her original persona was and the like…

        • Ty C says:

I think a comic series to continue Dollhouse would be pretty awesome for some fans. For me though, I don’t think I would read it.

I tried following along with Buffy Season 8 and Angel After the Fall, but they just weren’t the same as watching the TV series, you know what I mean?

          • Having read the summaries for After the Fall and skimmed through some of Season 8, I see what you mean. I do recall making many WTF? faces–like when Dawn was part centaur?

But I think even some one-shot things could be neat, or an anthology of comics a la “Endless Nights”…

  29. OH MY GOD.

It just hit me, and since there’s no edit comment button…

I think I know what they took away from Paul. And if you paid attention to something Topher said to Priya, then you probably know what I’m talking about.

    • John says:

      OH! I think I know…

      Ouch

    • Al says:

what episode are we talking about with topher telling priya something?

    • Sarah says:

Is it when topher tells priya that he couldn’t erase her memory of her killing the rapist because it would erase her realization that she loves anthony??

      • Al says:

OOOOH, if that is the convo then i know what u mean, that was my initial thought on what they took, but i didnt think that they would be that cruel. but then again that would definitely make for good television.

        • If they need Paul alive and…er…active for the final showdown against Rossum, they have to take something, don’t they? And why else would they make a point of showing Topher telling Priya why she had to remember killing Nolan?

          • wrdo says:

I think I know what you guys are talking about. And I thought that maybe that was what they took from Paul. But if they did, would he have still have gone to Adele, guns a blazin, after Boyd told him that Echo was in the Attic?

It would make sense though. And Joss *would* pull something like that. it would be a great amount of angst for the finale, especially if Paul did remember.

    • Suzy87 says:

I think it’s the ability to fear! FEAR! Simple and very effective. When he goes to Adelle she says she doesn’t what to die. And Paul’s answer is :” Then only one of us is going to be disappointed.” I think that means he’s not afraid to die! And only someone without fear can be like that! I think Paul is going to die in the end! And that’s way Joss wrote it this way! He’s fearless now! What do you think?

  30. John says:

The only thing that was bothering me was Adelle and my hatred for her (the character…) – but thank goodness she’s cool now

I might get chastised for this – but I am enjoying this more than Firefly – I don’t know – I just speechless and I can not wait to see how this ends….and for Felicia….

  31. Pixel says:

Too much burbling about in my head to be coherent – but what a frakking amazing pair of episodes!

  32. vivian says:

great episodes BUT HERES THE QUESTION.
DOLLHOUSE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!!CAN THESE BIG WIGS NOT SEE IT????
THEY SHOULD HAVE LET JOSS DO THE SHOW THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE SO THAT IN SEASON 1 THINGS WOULD NOT HAVE WANED….TELL THOSE CORPORATE YAHOOS TO TAKE ANOTHER LOOK…OR FIND A PLACE TO PEDDLE YOUR WARES THAT CAN APPRECIATE TALENT WHEN THEY SEE IT!!!

  33. Volasi says:

Fantastic episodes, although I’m confused about Adelle’s overall character arc. She’s pissed, she betrays, she’s rejected, she’s drunk, she’s pissed again and finally it was all a plan? That didn’t really work for me. But the rest was all gravy.

Maybe you already know, but “The Attic” director, John Cassaday, is also one of the best comic book artist alive today. I strongly recommend “Astonishing X-Men”, written by that Whedon guy, and “Planetary” with Warren Ellis.

  34. Madman007 says:

    This just hit me!
For those who are theorizing about who Clyde 2.0 is, you’re all wrong. Clyde 2.0 is a FOX executive who canceled the show because it was getting too close to the real truth!

  35. Renee says:

First off- Reed Diamond! :D every time I see him I have this very strong urge to watch Homicide: Life on the Street. He’s such a fantastic actor and so very, very pretty.

Episodes 9 and 10 were so freaking amazing. This show is so freaking amazing. I’m going to cry so hard to see it end.

I’m already seen episode 10 twice and I’m going to go watch it again. That’s how great it was.

I don’t think any other show has gotten me this crazy before. The fact is that this show is created by my favorite screen writer, stars one of my favorite actresses AND both my very favorite actress (Felicia) and my very favorite actor (Reed)are in it. The plot is amazing, the actors are amazing, the writing is FANTASTIC.

    I love you Dollhouse <3

  36. Maxi says:

Not likely that Clyde 2.0 is Topher or Adelle, Topher’s guilt came from the fact that he created the tech to remote wipe anyone in the world. Also, I got the impression that Adelle’s twists were not planned, but that she she really became an alcoholic and whatnot, eventually regaining her self respect and sending Echo to the Attic on purpose. People will do anything to keep power once they have it, which is why she gave up Topher’s tech, but felt such remorse that she became highly depressed. After what Boyd said she came around. Also, I believe Boyd’s “home troubles” have to do with Whiskey/Saunders.

    • Al says:

Yeah, I think that’s what Boyd’s home troubles are, since Whiskey/Saunders comes back, Boyd probably was convincing her to come back for the final confrontation.

    • Jenni says:

Adelle is British (me too) and here you don’t have to be an alcoholic to get drunk enough to sleep on your desk…just saying maybe Joss knows that too. I think her drinking maybe a courage thing, she was about to make a move against Rossum…

  37. B says:

Uh, has anyone even just maybe considered that Harding is Clyde 2.0. Sorry but that one was just super obvious to me, I’ll be shocked if it’s not him.

  38. Robertt F. Crow says:

You definitely get the impression that they’re trying to cram as much in as possible before it ends. Even down to not wasting time with the title sequence in The Attic. But, even though it is a bit all over the place, the fast pace of it all just adds to it. I was honestly slightly out of breath at the end of The Attic. I don’t think I’ve ever been so exhilarated by an episode of anything in my life.

  39. Oh why, oh why can’t we have more Dollhouse! Amazing series. Will now hold second spot to Babylon 5 as the best SciFi around. If you want something else to watch after the sheer agony of no more Dollhouse, just watch B5 – worth every hour of 5 seasons.
Whedon will not do an “it’s all a dream” ending – Topher can’t be a doll – he was shooting the taser thingy & didn’t – unless he created a way for it not to affect him – hummmmm – but I don’t think so.
    and I agree – it’s better than Firefly & I love Firefly

  40. Maxi says:

I just wish that they had spaced it out over the first and second season; season one was a little bit too slow moving for me and now it is being rushed. Don’t get get me wrong, it’s easily my favorite show on tv, just my opinion though.

    • Ty C says:

I know exactly what you mean. Season was pretty slow, though I think it sped up after about half of the season (around episode 6). That’s the same with season 2, which was kind of slow for the first half and now is going at super sonic speed hahaha

  41. bobby says:

i cheered at the ending when Adelle said, “We’re ready” and i have a fun theory that im willing to share. IMO i think adelle is actually the one responsible for the messages in s1, she could of killed paul but instead she was warning him; two, when she didnt know Sen. Perrin was a doll, she sent Echo in, but not as a assassin, but to warn him to back off. She could of clearly killed him and Echo could of vanished and since she is a doll, no one can trace her fingerprints etc. i might be wrong, hopefully not, but i love adelle as much as my love for Echo. Somebody commented on how Caroline saw the Clyde 2.0 when she was led by leo in s1, that was the beginning with her war with Rossum. The two years that follow could have memories that show who Clyde 2.0 is

    • L says:

iv always thought that adelle was the real spy in s1 (as in the one sending secret messages through the doll’s imprints).

clyde 2.0 not to sure first thought was clive ambrose but then thought its got to be someone they havn’t shown yet.

    • Tara says:

Nice! It would explain why she was so rabid to get her House back, but now is playing with fire worse than ever before. However, I have to reserve judgement until later. I get the feeling DeWitt has been blown about by the winds of fate, rather than actually making those winds blow.

  42. WhedoniteJenn says:

Amazing. Overall, amazing. I am placing a prediction here: since Dollhouse is ending before its time – like Firefly did – how about a movie to extend its storyline? Or even a series of comics/books/fanfics (Whedon stamped, of course.) We know about Echo and her fight, but what about more of the others? Love it! Love every second of it! Whedon is never a disappointment, which is why I am a loyal fan thru & thru :)

  43. DeezyG says:

WhedoniteJenn, Joss has said in interviews- well, in one interview after Dollhouse was cancelled that he wasn’t doing a comic series, or movie, or anything. He said this was the end.

All I can hope for is that we work our asses off (we won’t) to get high ratings in January after Bones, and then work our asses off and buy a bunch of DVDS, and maybe then Joss can do a Straight to DVD movie like Dead Like Me where he won’t have to explain the basic plot of Dollhouse, or re-introduce the characters, because everyone buying it will have seen Dollhouse.

That’s the reason he said Serenity was a pain in the ass, and he didn’t want a Dollhouse Movie. If we can get the numbers high enough for a straight to dvd movie to be profitable, he can do season 3/4/whatever in a few hours.

If the ending of Epitah Two somehow prevents whatever arc he had planned, then he might still have more to say in movies. He said (After the show was cancelled and the finale was probably basically finalized) that he didn’t want to do comics because it wouldn’t be enough action, and would be too much talking. That means that he probably could extend the series after Epitah Two, if he were given a movie.

Kevin/Gossi has said that as far as he knows, only the finale has been changed at all because of the cancellation (sure, they covered alot more thinking it was their last season, but the official cancellation only affected Epitah 2.) I’m sure they gave it more closure, but couldn’t have changed it THAT much, not enough to end the show forever.

I doubt anybody’s gonna read this. If you do, please reply and make me feel special ^.>

We’re all special, in our own little ways :)

In truth I don’t think anybody really knows what the future holds, but I suspect these final episodes will be the last we see of the world. That said I will feel far more sense of closure than I did with Firefly I suspect. Firefly’s arc had barely begun before Serenity, whereas Dollhouse has been firing on all cylinders all season.
