Here’s the official speak of the thing:

Uke Box Heroes was formed out of the love of the ukulele and the love of its two members, Miracle Laurie and Christopher May. Laurie (cast member of Joss Whedon’s DOLLHOUSE) and May (member of the Beach Boys tribute band, SURFIN’ SAFARI) first fell in love with the ukulele on their living room couch and have never looked back. With Miracle’s roots in Polynesian dance and Hawaiian culture and Christopher’s singing career based firmly in rock and roll, they have combined both worlds through the most underrated musical instrument in the world, the ukulele. This unlikey blend of influences has created a sound like no other. Their marriage of ukulele and rock and pop music has produced a show that is filled with fun, warmth, love, and flat out awesomeness. Check out there MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/ukeboxheroes .

That sounds oddly wonderful; it’s too bad I won’t have a chance to go. I must check out their MySpace page now…
