Official – Summer Glau joins Dollhouse season two!
Summer Glau is entering Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, folks.
No, really.
She joins the show in episode 5 — airing in October — for two initial eps playing a character called Bennett, working inside the Dollhouse.
The news was confirmed to us by Fox.

Dollhouse sucks and I can't believe they chose to renew this instead of Terminator where Summer really shines.
I'll only watch the episodes she's in. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
How can you know "where Summer really shines" when you haven't even seen her performance in Dollhouse?

Nice, after Epitaph One, I have full faith Season 2 will be deliver on the promise Dollhouse showed in the later half of seasons one. Also, recently watched the unaired pilot and I can't believe they pulled that for the utter dross that replaced it. That was quality, quality TV. Presented the show's entire premise in a believable and intriguing way.
Anyhow, looking forward to more Dollhouse.
Not sure I agree with you about the unaired pilot Matt – It worked more as a good season recap, hitting all the major plot ark scenes, but I think there was just too much happening there for a normal viewing public to take in, and the spoon feed method of splitting it over a few episodes works better for the more casual TV viewer as an introduction to the show.

Personally, I was rooting for both Dollhouse and Terminator to make it. I liked both. I applaud Dollhouse for making it. I'm sorry Terminator didn't.
The one thing I do see as a legitimate wonder after hearing about Epitaph One is whether having two shows with post-apocalyptic type content was part of the decision to can Terminator.
maybe summer will carry over her terminator persona into the dollhouse series… wouldn't that be interesting? ^_^

How does it look for Dollhouse's fandom then when Joss Whedon himself stated that if it had been up to him he would have canceled Dollhouse and renewed TSCC for another Season?
That's never been interpreted as a diss of his own show or fandom, but as a respectful nod to one of his favorite shows. Two different things.
Joss was a T:TSCC fan. So, ya know.
And what about the really important factor, joss whedon discovered Summer when he was doing an angel episode where he needed a ballerina,that was her first tv role, then came firefly, which was her first main character… the ttscc fans should know better about it and show some gratitude to joss, if weren´t for his shows, probably she wouldn´t be on terminator after all
In truth I don't think there's really need for ill feeling, and I'm sure it will pass when people see her in the show. It's a cool role. So I hope the Terminator fans tune in to check out Summer.

Dollhouse SUCKS HARD. I don't know why Summer would stoop so low. Dollhouse is one of the worst shows to ever air on FOX. I'm glad it'll be pulled within the first 5 episodes.

Dollhouse started weakly but I can’t believe that people can’t even give him the benefit of a doubt that he’ll be able to improve the show and make it into something really good. He didn’t just fall off the back of a turnip truck .. he created Firefly and Serenity remember?
Personally I still prefer River to Cameron, although I do think T:SCC was a good show.
