Dollverse at Comic-Con

We went to Comic-Con again this year. Here’s some things of note:

1) Pretty people.

2) Season two opens in the future with Mag, Zone and Caroline (from “Epitaph One”). So that’s more Felicia Day for you, y’all.

3) Eliza was on the EW “Wonder Women” panel, with Ms Weaver and the excellent Zoe Saldana and the lovely Elizabeth Mitchell. Fun times.

4) Alexis Denisof is joining Dollhouse! He played Wesley in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Personally very happy about this one, as right from the beginning in November 2007 I was championing Alexis for some kind of role. Why? Because TV needs more awesome.

5) The “Epitaph One” screening went well. Most of the audience hadn’t seen it before, so it was fun to see the reactions of the crowd.

6) The show is undergoing a visual restyling for season two.

7) I don’t have a 7th point but it seems like the right idea to end on an odd number.

Good thing Enver Gjokaj looks less stupid in real life than on the show and all the promotional shots.

  3. Anonymous says:

Yeeehoo!! So psyched to hear about Alexis! I've just been rewatching the entire Angel series and I enjoy watching him.

  4. Anonymous says:

Since you didn't take that pic, you really should make that clear and link the source (i.e. Maurissa Tancharoen's twitter account)

  5. Anonymous says:

on Angel, DEnisof (wesley) could be the most funny or the most dramatic and depressing character, good to know he´ll be coming in!!
Do you have more details about the new look of the show? I know it has to do with the budget, but I hope it doesn´t get too worse…

  6. saturnangel587 says:

Yay, Alexis! :D Any idea what role he'll have? Would it be too much of a throwback to the Buffy days to hope he becomes Echo's new handler? >.>

  7. Anonymous says:

yes, I guess it would be too much throwback to joss make him as a handler, unless joss puts him as an evil handler, worse than Hearn. joss has to surpris eus always…

  8. saturnangel587 says:

I think I'd have trouble taking him seriously as an evil handler. But considering how much everybody surprised me with their acting prowess during season one, I'd be open to seeing that, tooo.

  9. Anonymous says:

do you think he is just capable of being very funny and not serious? I think on final seasons of angel he proved a great capacity of playing a very heavy dramatic role…
But, HEY PEOPLE FROM THE COMIC CON who have the dvd, is there any charitable soul that can make a HD 720 (mkv) torrent rip of ep 13 for people like me who lives in the other side of the planet and have no acess to the dvd?? Please…

  10. Kevin says:

Yes, the pic came from Maurissa's Twitter.

  11. MarQ says:

Rumor has it if the timing is right Summer Glau will join Dollhouse

  12. saturnangel587 says:

If that's true about Summer Glau, then my brother will suddenly become a fan of Dollhouse…

Alexis Denisof! Goodness Gracious! When I watch my old Angel DVD's, I always think about how fantastic (and gorgeous) of an actor he is, and what a shame it is that he hasn't been on TV recently. Dollhouse has made my wish come true! :D
