The event is called Echo-1, and it is taking place 7-9 May at the Thistle Hotel, Heathrow, London. The currently confirmed guests are Tahmoh Penikett (Paul), Miracle Laurie (Mellie) and Mark Sheppard (FBI dude), with more to come.
Isn´t it kinda pointless scheduling a convention like that so far ahead??? It is almost one year from now!!!! By that point the series could be already canceled( of course I hope not) and all the actors and staff may have moved on to something else and might not actually be able to go…
its scheduled far ahead as actors have busy schedules so its done at a time when they will be free also at the end of the new tv season. yes some actors may have to pull out thats the nature of conventions but i've been to a few starfury conventions and most of the stars make it with maybe 1 or 2 pull outs in which case a replacement is usually found. it doesnt matter if the show does get cancelled at the end of season 2, fans would still want to go. i went to a signing to meet eliza soon after tru calling was canned and didnt make it any less enjoyable
you´re maybe right at some points, but in this case, it´s only confirmed Ballard and Mellie to go…if it was Echo and sierra, dewitt and boyd too, ok… but if only these two confirmed so far it is early to be scheduled. I´m not even counting Mark shepard, cause camon…he apeared two minutes in two episodes of both joss series (firefly too) playing very annoying figures, he´s not even a guest star, he´s almost an extra…not that I dont like him personally, I mean, poor guy, it´s his second joss show and he only get a very small and annoying apearance again…
I've spoken to Mark a bunch of times about Joss, and let me be clear about somethin' – he genuinely loves the guys work. I mean, not in a DVD special features 'I love him!' kind of way – he calls Joss a genius and he means what he's saying, I believe. So I think he's more than happy to step in and do those roles. He's a character actor – it's what he does.
I'm sure more guests will be announced closer to the time. I think Starfury normally aim for 6 guests, I can't remember off hand. Miracle's a wonderful person and, if you can afford it, you should go meet her.
Dollhouse what?
Dollverse is an award winning website which takes you inside Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku's FOX TV series, DOLLHOUSE. It started as a 5 minute a day thing, then we got a bit lost in the Dollverse.
DOLLHOUSE is a multi-award winning television series about getting lost down the rabbit hole of society and self, which airs FRIDAY, 9/8c on FOX - and across the world.
