Season two tidbits

- By next week, things will be going full swingy swing on the plottin’ of season two of Dollhouse.

- Returning to Dollhouse: Tim Minear. That sound you hear from a million miles away is me clapping. A firm, manly clap. He delivered two of my favourite episodes of the first season, he did.

- Also returning: I think Maurissa Tancharoen Whedon and Jed Whedon. Although I haven’t had direct confirmation. Which is great, as they wrote “Epitaph One”, which screened recently and I’m told “[it] was hands down my fave of the whole season” by somebody who was lurking.

I think it will take a little longer to firm out where things stand cast wise. I hope they all return as, well, I love them all. (And yeah, Joss wants Summer Glau for season two, and that should probably happen as we haven’t seen everything that girl can do).

Update 29 May: Maurissa says Tracy Bellomo and Andrew Chambliss are also rejoining season two. So… That’s most of the peeps back.

Hopefully Tahmoh Penikett will be back

  2. Kevin says:

Oh, Tahmoh’s coming back for sure.

  3. cakes4rockstars says:

    summer!!! fingers crossed.

  4. Amanda says:

Yay! Summer Glau! But what about Victor? :(

  5. Erin says:

    SUMMER!!

  6. lmspence says:

I think Victor will come back… his character will be richer for his suffering. Maybe they will give him some position like they did with Whiskey/Dr. Saunders. Or he can be a doll for someone with a scar fetish? (Kidding on that last one)

  7. JonB says:

While I’m pleased to hear Summer may be in S2 I hope she isn’t a doll ‘cos I’d imagine that would mean she would get the roles Dichen would have got :/

I just can’t imagine what kind of role Summer would play on a show about a bunch of quiet people with doctor-induced mental issues who are capable of kicking serious ass when triggered to do so. This just seems too far outside her comfort zone.

To say Jed and maurissa wrote epitaph one is somewhat wrong…They are credited for the teleplay but they are not credited for the story, which is from joss whedon alone. everyone knows joss, in all his shows, can write lots of scenes in some episodes and not take credit for it. I think it must be to not diminish their fee, but I´m pretty sure whedon wrote a lot of it.
so far, I can say Jed and maurissa wrote the two most irrelevant episodes, stagefright and haunted.

When are we expecting more news about Season 2?
