hey!!!! I said we should´t give up hope, I guess on firefly time, internet wasn´t as powerfull as a media. now with people making sites and blogs, watching and downloading via internet could really show to fox that whedon has a very solid and loyal fanbase and despite the ratings it was worth a shot. HURRAY!!
I’m glad they did count DVR and online streaming, etc. because Friday nights are a bad night for TV watching, especially for a new show. Hopefully in the fall it will get moved to a different night
I read somewhere that Amy Acker’s got a pilot that got picked up by ABC called “Happy Town”. Think that’ll mean Dr. Saunders gets imprinted onto another Active or just less guest starring from Amy? Because if it’s the former, I can see them imprinting Victor as the new Saunders–unless Adelle hires him the best in plastic surgery so that he can remain a Doll. Because I know I’d miss his adorable Doll moments…
I’m going to bank on the latter, though, if only because of that loose end from the season finale… Namely, who the hell is Whiskey really, and why is Topher so bummed out about her?
This is the real deal – it will indeed be back! I always figured the Joss factor would play into this and strong DVD sales would cancel out low ratings. Finally Fox does right by Joss – and the fans. Man I can’t wait woo-hoo!!!
Wow. I really did not see that coming. Yey for us! It really seems that the grass roots are coming strong. I remember the capaign to save Excalibur back in 2000, and lets just way that was NOT a win for the fans. Since then the odds seem to have been steadilly getting better.
This is a tremendous show of faith by Fox. Based on ratings alone this show should be dead. They’ve taken a great leap to give this a second season and should be applauded for that!
Respect to Fox TV dudes for their part in it, but don’t think it was just the goodness of their hearts. The studio is charging them a lot less for season 2, from what I understand, and the producers are going to be squeezing the budget as tight as they can. IMO, everybody is being very smart about this.
Season 2 of Buffy was my favorite, since that’s when it really got serial. I’m very interested to see Joss’s ideas for Dollhouse season 2.
Also, I hope we do get more Whiskey. I like Amy Acker, but I don’t have a lot of faith in “Happy Town” being as good as Dollhouse.
Still work to do…after many of us joined on Twitter and kept a constant bombardment up for weeks on FoxBroadcasting, eventually crashing their fan phone line when Miracle Laurie tweeted to call in, joined the Fox wiki for Dollhouse (http://dollhousewiki.fox.com/), sent action figure dolls to Fox, etc. we need to get the word out and increase the fan base. Five months! Let’s get creative!
So, so so happy! I was getting ready to go out to a party and thought, let me check my email before i go. Some how I ended on Dollverse and saw the great news! (I swear my fingers can find the way to this site on their own.) I shrieked and my family all came rushing in, I told them and the whole lot of us started jumping around with big silly grins and hugging one another. Then I went and partied like mad on a happy high.
I’m thrilled. I’m sure that the DVD buzz and the DVR and Hulu figures were the deciding factor. Unlike Terminator, Fox has a stake in the secondary market with Dollhouse.
And I think that Joss and Co. will respond very well to the smaller budget challenge.
I’ve never been so proud of a fanbase and a big tv network in all my life. EEK!!
Dollhouse what?
Dollverse is an award winning website which takes you inside Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku's FOX TV series, DOLLHOUSE. It started as a 5 minute a day thing, then we got a bit lost in the Dollverse.
DOLLHOUSE is a multi-award winning television series about getting lost down the rabbit hole of society and self, which airs FRIDAY, 9/8c on FOX - and across the world.
Hooray! This is good news! But hopefully this–
"The move will also mark a shift in creative direction of the show."
–doesn't translate to 'completely retooling Joss's epic vision'. >.> Still! This is awesome news!
Nope, it doesn’t. The creative stuff has been pitched BY joss to FOX last week.
We did it, people!
Congratulations
Really?? YAY!!!
Omg, three cheers!

HURRAY!!
even Whedonites get good news every once in a blue moon!
WOOHOO!!!
Now if they’d just bring back some Firefly, things would be perfect

Kevin: That's very reassuring. I wouldn't want Dollhouse to suffer the fate of Sliders at the expense of being renewed. >.>
In any case, time to celebrate by re-watching "Needs" while it's still on Hulu! XD
Nice pic, isn’t that one of b!X’s?
SUPER YAY!
AWESOME!!! CANT WAIT FOR SEASON 2!!! THANK YOU, FOX!!!
Excellent, I can’t wait!!!
This is so great. I look forward to what season 2 will offer.

YAY!
i think we should all really send thank you letters to fox for giving are show a second season!
Wow a bit of good news from Fox Thank You:) I am really excited to see how things go in season 2.
I have nothing to say but…
YEEEESSSSS!!!
Quite right – they didn’t do it for any reason other than $$, but the easier decision was to axe it, and as such this is a gutsy decision from them.
Does this mean they will show ep 13 on TV rather than just the DVD
Yay That’s so great every one you rock! I fan still have a little power! Thank you FOX.
Oh Finally!!!! I was getting tense will all the waiting!
I’m certain it will be worth waiting for season two like it was worth waiting for season 1.
WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I am so, so, so HAPPY!!! Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I can’t wait to see the next season!!!
I still don’t trust FOX, but I am glad that DollHouse has bee renewed.
where was that photo taken, kevin?
