does anyone agree that Fran as Topher needs to be more directed or contained?? On the Pilot I thought he was the best thing of the series, clever and funny and cool…but troughout the series he apeared to me very often as silly and annoying, and I can´t help thinking that he´s one of those characters who need a more strong direction (joss himself or maybe Minear) to work…
Just the entertainment I needed as distraction from lab reports!
I can see what you mean with Topher. He kinda feels like he’s come from a slightly younger show (reminds me very much of Xander, if a little more intelligent!) but I think he does kinda work, in that he doesn’t?…
Fran plays Topher like a kid, I think. Which, by the way, is a compliment, because the character is like a child in a toy factory who knows what all the buttons do.
Topher is an interesting character. I switch from hating him to being rather fond of him — often in the course of a single episode. I think that he’s supposed to elicit that feeling from the audience though…it’s like the nice seeming guy you might work with that is really completely amoral underneath.
Hey, this episode 10 really goes in to the “Topher is like kid in the toy factory” almost literally…he and sierra together were so funny and even cute…
Topher in episode 10 is like… That, if I didn’t already like him and his quirky nerdiness, would’ve been the turning point for me–especially given what you find out about him in it.
That picture makes me feel so much better about my own weird hair days. XD
Dollhouse what?
Dollverse is an award winning website which takes you inside Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku's FOX TV series, DOLLHOUSE. It started as a 5 minute a day thing, then we got a bit lost in the Dollverse.
DOLLHOUSE is a multi-award winning television series about getting lost down the rabbit hole of society and self, which airs FRIDAY, 9/8c on FOX - and across the world.

Haha. Fran is so funny. His hair has a personality of its own. Makes sense.
I dunno, I think Topher/Fran works fine as the character needs in my mind.
Fran messing up his hair like that for no apparent reason was hilarious to me.
O_o in this picture he looks like a guy I went to school with. Seriously.

Wow. His hair is all….Fwoosh! Hee hee.

Hey Kevin, you can’t hang in there all this time, then quit on us now. Alpha’s coming!
