Gather around the camp fire. It’s time to tell a story.

Listen up, kids. Or Boyd will shoot you in the face.

Well, not really. Boyd’s quite nice really, he wouldn’t shoot anybody in the face unless they were very, very ugly.

Wait, I think I’ve misunderstood the show a little.

Anyway. Let’s move on from that car crash, to why we’re here: Dollhouse. The next two episodes are effectively a two parter, written by Jane Espenson (you might recognise her from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Battlestar Galactica) and Tim Minear (Firefly, The Inside, Wonderfalls, Drive, The X-Files, and a mythical episode of Buffy).

And here’s the skimmy: we’re reliably told they’re the best episodes of the series. Then there’s episode 13, of which is officially not supposed to be airing, but we believe it might. And if it doesn’t air, it’s time to get your boots connected to your legs, I think. (Don’t shoot me, Boyd).

I know you’ll be buying the DVD regardless, ‘cos seriously – it’s full of special features which are actually – for once – special. And yes, I think you’ll see something about it at Comic-Con, if you’re going. I am.

Anyway. Spread the word. Friday. FOX. 9/8c. If you’re going watch live at all, these next two episodes are ones to watch live.

Well, I’m not absolutely more than completely excited about Briar Rose. Hopefully, I’ll manage to watch all episodes so far before its airing (gonna make a Dollhouse marathon on Friday, if necessary XD).

This friday I won’t miss it! For nothing!

  2. dottikins says:

If these two eps are indeed the best of the show’s run, I guarantee that my mind will be blown; I don’t think I can handle anything that’s much better than “Needs” w/o recourse to adult diapers! Sorry for the mental image!

  3. Anonymous says:

What does it mean to “get your boots connected to your legs”?

  4. Anonymous says:

must be a joke with “bootleg”, like trying to find if it leaks on the net somewhere…
If the show gets a second season, i think it will be best if it doesn´t air, then we´ll have something to look forward to for a couple of months before having to start waiting for the show to come back next year
If they cancel, I think they should at least show some respect to the fans by airing it and letting us move on sooner and let go…

I've got the day off from work tomorrow! Thank GOD I'll be home to see this. :D <3

Kevin, you've got me psyched! I've got my debit card at the ready the very SECOND I discover season one is out.

*raises fist in air* WE CAN DO IT, DOLL-FRIENDS! There WILL be a second season if we have anything to say about it!

YAAAAH!! Strength in numbers!!!!! MAY THE FOX NETWORK TREMBLE AT OUR UNDYING INSISTENCE AND UNWAVERING LOYALTY!!!!

    (…sorry…ahem…I've had a lot of Coca-Cola.)

    Here’s somebody else who’s had a lot of Coca-Cola: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vagueonthehow/3482956870/in/pool-whedonesque/

Kevin: Appropriate picture is appropriate, even if it’s Diet Coke. XD
