If I remember correctly, I believe Joss stated that the first 6 episodes were going to be in essesnce 6 pilots and that the more complicated episodes had to be earned. That said, it usually takes me between 4 and 5 episodes to become invested in a show anyway, so I am still looking forward to see how the season develops.

I am having a hard time remaining interested in the show. I liked Buffy until the college years. I like Angel until Conner came along. I loved Firefly and then it was canceled but I think that Firefly would have collapsed as well. Maybe Joss should just stick to movies. That whole conversation between Echo and the Singer about not being a real person. That was just lame. Oooooh this conversation has a double meaning big deal. So far I have been seriously underwhelmed by this show.

There were two good points in the show; Victor’s reveal, Sierra and Echo’s exchange. The rest was us being expected to care about a selfish and delusional diva and I found it very hard to dredge up even an ounce of compassion. First we wanted the girl saved, then we feared for Echo being hunted, now we are expected to cheer for a bratty singer who encouraged her would be killer? Not buying it.

It better get better tout suite.

My initial reaction to this episode was that it wasn’t as good as the first two, but the more I think about it, the less I find fault with it. And there’s a lot there to like. I think I’m starting to get the hang of the show and what to expect from it, and I like it.

Obviously, can’t wait for this Friday. And the one after that, and the one after that…

This episode was a little disapointing, I know it does have good points to add to the character Echo ( and I tottaly love sierra already!!) and to the whole premise, but most of it was like watching a rihana special, I mean, bleh…
The story from the pilot was standard, average but convincible(kidnapping thing), but these other two are very forced plots, they don´t work , the hunting thing and the psicho fan were silly ( and not even in a funny way)…

I agree that it started out slow but in true Joss fashion I’m sure it’s about to go some where fantastic and I cant wait for that. Besides he used my name as the singer. Sweet deal for me

I’m with Amy. Some people just have different opinions on what makes good TV.

And in my opinion, there’s nothing different or even refreshing about Criminal Minds or Damages – there’s tons of other shows just like them.

Let’s all help out Amy since she’s obviously missing out on some truly excellent tv if she thinks dollhouse is the best show on tv right now. I’ll contribute Criminal Minds and Damages as two off the top of my head which are light-years better than what we’ve seen from dh so far. Anyone else care to add to the list for her?

The woman playing the singer was terrible. It could have been a pretty good episode with someone charismatic and believable in that role but as it was it was pretty meh.
