Dollhouse attracted 4.72 million viewers overnight, with 6% share of the 18-49 audience.
It’s not brilliant, but at the same time it’s not awful. It actually built a million viewers on Terminator, which tanked badly.
Never the less, the show did have less overnight viewers than Firefly. Therefore, if you want to help the show, please:
- Digg the first episode.
- Watch on Hulu. Then rate it.
- Buy the episodes on Amazon.
- Or buy them on iTunes for your iPhone, iPod, Apple TV or Mac/PC. And rate it.
- Or watch on FOX.com.
- Crank up your TiVo and watch that recorded copy you made.
- Ask people if they’ve seen the show.
- Watch next week.

How can I get the episode in europe?
Don’t limit your self to Digg! Make good use of the little bookmark bar. For example if you have Yahoo! click the Buzz button. (I think you can click the Buzz button and have you vote count even if you don’t have Yahoo, but I don’t know that for sure.)
I watched on Hulu and am planning to that every week! (I usually have to work Friday nights.) I also blogged about it. And I will continue to tell people! Thank you for the show, Team Dollhouse!
FEWER overnight viewers, please!
I hope lots of the younger folks got early reservations for VDay and will be back on the couch next Friday for Dollhouse.
I also hope the people who watch it on Hulu this coming week like it well enough to watch if live next Friday.
I live to hope.
It’s number 1 now.
Do iTunes purchases count? That’s where I bought the first episode.
Yep, iTunes purchases count
I watched it both live and on Hulu (there was breaking news that interrupted the episode while watching it live). I plan on rewatching on Hulu after it’s live every week, though. I really hope this can thrive — it looks like it will be great. Joss does excellent work and needs another chance for a cult hit.
I love The Dollhouse so far. Fran Kranz (who also does amazing character videos on showbizzle.com) is so awesome! He’s everywhere I guess! How do you SAY showbizzle?
This show is so far excellent. Mark my words, it won’t go swimming with the sharks unless Fox is the most blindfolded TV network in the whole galaxy.
From an european perspective i would even venture in saying that DHouse has a lot of the dramatic vibe that one can see in Luc Besson’s films (Nikita and Leon much!): lonely characters with secretive activities, manipulations, great technology and effective stories with rhizomic percspectives.
The synopsis is great despite the undertone of this episode which was alot about giving out the main clues and going through the DHouse and its occupants. Still, when i say the synopsis is great, it’s simply because you can kind of guess how intuitive and well built it is.
Have a minor thing to point out though. Paul’s character. Do we really have to have this cliché of the good cop who is going all Pelican Affair on everyone? Or maybe he is more than meets the eye… i sure wish this is the path taken, i would hate to have a monolithic character on the show!
All in all congrats to Whedon, thumbs up to Dushku and Long Live the Doll!
This show is sooooooo good. They better not cancell it.
