Well This is Embarrassing…
Last week I was bored and had an idea for an episode of Dollhouse. With a law exam to study for today, I smartly chose to spend two days writing this Dollhouse idea up as a pseudo-spec. I sent it to a friend — who shall remain nameless and loveless– late last week and spent the weekend studying for this exam and today I come online to find this and this.
Sorry to anyone who read it thinking it was real. I didn’t really intend it to be seen by this many people — especially this side of me having a chance to rewrite it. It was hardly polished, as io9 pointed out. Also: only wrote it based on the original “Echo” script and the promos — there were no “hours and hours of studying the show” in preparation. I’ve slipped into defensive-writer mode.
This said thanks to those who read it and said it could have been an actual episode. That’s quite a big compliment.
For those of you who want to read my un-polished first draft: ta da. It’s probably the first piece of Dollhouse fanfic.
