
We being Joss refers to the original Dollhouse pilot as ““Balinese shadow puppet theatre.” He says he can’t write without humour – the show will have humour. “We can’t fight the funny. The funny is going to win… I couldn’t make a show that’s relentlessly serious.” The first five “Dollhouse” episodes are more stand-alone. The sixth works in more mythology, almost like a pilot.
“I had a bad experience once on a Friday. You might have heard about it.” says Joss.
Eliza sings in an episode. But not an all out musical. Eliza says Echo gets “repeat business”.
