Interviews, Features and More

We can confirm the launch – it’s mid January, it’s Monday, it’s 8pm on FOX. It’s a major launch for them – they aren’t trying to bury this show, and have been incredibly supportive of the people working on this one. Dollhouse will act as a lead in to 24, which is returning for its seventh season.

Also, the episode order has been increased, so there’s 13 planned episodes so far, with an expansion to 22 if required for this coming season.

On top of this, each episode will be longer than a usual TV episode is, as FOX are airing Dollhouse without many adverts. Yes, you read that right. As a result each episode will clock in at a minimum of 50 minutes instead of the usual 42. This is part of a FOX initiative called Remote Free TV. FOX president Kevin Reilly talks about it here.
