Sick as a dog but proud as a noble and much healthier dog, I made my way to the picket lines outside of Fox studios today. I’m really glad I did. In addition to carrying the banner, it was a chance to talk with other writers, get more perspectives and more information about what’s happening, and to see a surprising number of old friends....

It is well known Joss Whedon likes to know his character names up front, and is reasonably obsessive about structure and the emotional heart of a scene (and his characters). These reasons are, I believe, the reason people relate and attach to his work; it’s not accidental....

Well, here’s the skinny. The writers strike has officially begun, as you can read and discuss in our lovely forums. This includes Joss Whedon, along with pretty much every US TV writer. This means writing on Dollhouse has stopped.
“Television and movie screen writers said Thursday they will go on strike for the first time in nearly 20 years in a dispute over royalties.”
